Electronics Technician II: Repair & Test Specialist

Position Overview We are looking for an Electronics Technician II for our Repairs department at Windrock located in Knoxville, TN . This role provides support activities for engineering, manufacturing, and repair and forms a critical part of our team. What You Will Do Troubleshoot various types of electronic equipment to component level. Perform a variety of repairs from component replacement to extensive modification of analyzer equipment. Assist in testing new products. Provide engineering, manufacturing, and repair personnel with information and feedback. Assist with development of test procedures and equipment. Provide internal feedback on common quality issues. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field. 5 years of experience in a similar role. Proficient in use of equipment such as DMM, Function Generator, Oscilloscope. Must be able to interpret schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude. Detail oriented. Fully computer literate (Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, WinZip). Operate in a team environment. Technical communication (written/oral). Good personal presence/relationship skills with customers. Eagerness/willingness to learn. Ability to handle loads weighing up to 50 pounds. Immigration sponsorship will not be offered for this role. Preferred Qualifications Relevant experience in electronic assembly/repair, solder inspection/repair, customer service, knowledge of engines, and other types of reciprocating machinery. Physical Demands Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. Regular requirement to talk or hear. Frequent use of hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect material; reach with hands and arms as needed. Work conducted indoors in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities. Work typically performed in an office or cubicle with telephone and computer. Role is safety‑sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
