Pay: $22–$26 per hour (DOE) + Weekly Pay

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with potential weekends and overtime during peak seasons

About the Role: Employers Overload seeks an Assistant Nursery Supervisor driven by safety, precision, and effective team management. This role is instrumental in upholding rigorous safety standards, ensuring every detail is managed accurately, and leading a large team to operate smoothly in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Champion a safety-first culture, leading by example and enforcing robust safety procedures across all daily operations.

·       Supervise, train, and motivate a team of 50+ employees in the greenhouse nursery, fostering a collaborative and detail-oriented atmosphere.

·       Conduct regular safety audits, meetings, and risk assessments to minimize hazards and promote compliance with company and regulatory standards.

·       Ensure accurate scheduling, timekeeping, and record management for all staff.

·       Mentor and onboard new hires, emphasizing safety protocols and operational excellence.

·       Identify staffing needs and support effective recruitment.

·       Address and resolve operational or employee concerns swiftly while maintaining positive morale.

·       Operate and oversee the safe use of nursery equipment, including tractors and forklifts.

·       Drive continuous improvement and participate in ongoing safety and leadership trainings.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

·       Proven experience managing and supervising teams of 50+ in an agricultural or nursery setting

·       Demonstrated commitment to safety and attention to detail

·       Strong leadership, training, and team-building abilities

·       Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)

·       Solid organizational and communication skills

·       Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, database management)

·       Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License

·       Knowledge of OSHA and agricultural safety standards

·       Physical ability to work outdoors at heights, and safely handle loads

·       Forklift and tractor experience preferred
