Assistant Maintenance Manager

Overview

Pay: $75,000-$95,000/year

The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the daily maintenance operations of a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role assists with scheduling preventive maintenance, coordinating repairs, supervising maintenance technicians, and ensuring equipment reliability. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the maintenance department and daily workflow
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, OSHA, and company safety standards
• Monitor equipment performance and minimize downtime
• Train and mentor maintenance team members
• Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing
• Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and preventive maintenance programs
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus
