Workdays and hours - Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Examples of Work Performed
Answers written or oral requests for information.
Answers telephone, receives visitors, distributes mail, attends meetings, takes notes and prepares minutes of the meetings.
Makes appointments for supervisor and maintains calendar.
Types articles, reports, letters, forms or other material.
Prepares routine documents, reports and statements to meet routine deadlines with a minimum of supervision.
Other related duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements of Work
Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures, office machines, business English, spelling and arithmetic
Knowledge of the principles of business and office administration
Ability to use a computer to access, interpret, and record information
May require ability to develop and use spreadsheets involving basic mathematical and statistical operations
Ability to compose letters and develop and refine internal office procedures with minimum instructions
May require skill in taking and transcribing dictation
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, employees of other Departments, representatives of outside agencies, and the public
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to retrieve and replace files from and to a hard copy record-keeping or filing system as required
May require ability to sit at a desk for six to eight hours per day using a computer keyboard
May require ability to lift and carry file boxes weighing up to 20 lbs.

Experience and Training
Required experience and training
High School Diploma
One and a half (1.5) years of experience performing general clerical duties, including typing, filing, and answering telephones.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need of a sponsorship.
Attainment of passing score on pre-employment test:
Basic Office Skills
Microsoft Excel 2013- Normal User
Microsoft Outlook 2013
Microsoft Word 2013 – Normal User
Email etiquette.

Preferred experience and training
One (1) year of experience in a legal or municipal court setting.
One (1) year of experience handling sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
