Position Summary: Responsible for operating the switchboard, I and II way paging, code blue and TDD telephones, taking and relaying messages, monitoring alarms and notifying proper personnel. Registers, takes monies for Hospitality House Guests and processes out-going mail. Provide communication for the hospital.

Qualifications Requirements: High school graduate or GED required. One-year experience in communication work is required. Good telephone skills required. Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment. Basic computer skills required.

Job Functions: Answer the PBX console by the third ring Answer the Code Blue phone or rehab code blue TV screen; page overhead, notify ICU and ER Doctor, voice page ER team and call the Lab and complete procedure in 1 minute or less. Act as the information service for guests of the hospital from 5p-9a Page in a clear voice on I and II-way radios and use the message flash paging system when necessary respond quickly and efficiently to all alarms and notify proper personnel on all emergencies Disperse and log papers to employees for temporary use Perform all other duties required and assigned
