Maintains good working knowledge and ability to provide coverage on select desks within the department. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for making internal entries on a daily basis. Corresponds in a friendly and professional manner with customers and vendors. Researches and follows through with requests for offsetting entries with all correspondent banks in a timely manner. Assists with information gathering for both internal and external routine audits and examinations. Processes state and federal verification requests. Non-Essential Functions: Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, or equivalent, required. 1-2 years' experience as a teller or similar role in a retail banking environment, required. Ability to 10-key quickly and accurately, required. Experience with Jack Henry products, preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES General knowledge of basic banking principles. Ability to comprehend banking transactions, workflows and processing requirements. Knowledge of all parts of a check, fraudulent checks, BSA/AML regulations, Reg CC and cybercrime. Meticulous data entry accuracy and attention to detail. Experience using office equipment and software programs, such as Microsoft Office, and financial services databases. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
