Ludico is an exciting new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, bringing together fresh, vibrant, and transportive European flavors in an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Bar Prep Team Member to join our opening team. This behind-the-scenes position is essential to the success of our bar program by ensuring bartenders have everything needed to deliver exceptional beverage service. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparation, organization, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Position Summary

The Bar Prep Team Member is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, stocking the bar, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace. This role works closely with the Beverage Manager, Head Sommelier, and Bartenders to ensure the beverage operation is fully prepared for each service.

Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare fresh juices, purees, syrups, infusions, shrubs, and house-made cocktail ingredients according to established recipes.
• Wash, cut, and prepare fresh fruit garnishes, herbs, and specialty ingredients.
• Prepare cocktail batches and bottled ingredients as directed.
• Ensure all prep items are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
• Maintain consistency and quality across all beverage preparations.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Stock bars, service stations, and beverage storage areas before, during, and after service.
• Organize liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Assist with receiving beverage deliveries and organizing storage areas.
• Notify management of low inventory and supply needs.
• Assist with beverage inventory counts as assigned.

Operational Support

• Ensure bars are fully stocked and service-ready prior to opening.
• Polish bar tools, glassware, and specialty service equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, coolers, storage rooms, and service stations.
• Assist bartenders during service by replenishing supplies and maintaining organization.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Follow all Department of Health regulations and company sanitation standards.
• Maintain proper food safety procedures for fresh ingredients and beverage preparation.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating, storage, and temperature control of all products.
• Safely use kitchen equipment, knives, and cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, bar, culinary prep, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knife skills and food preparation experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency.
• Professional appearance and commitment to hospitality excellence.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
• Must have the ability to frequently move throughout multiple levels of the restaurant, including going up and down stairs while transporting products and supplies.
