Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse working in a fast-paced admission unit. This unit functions similarly to an Emergency Department holding area. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing inpatient standard care for admitted patients. The nurse will monitor and interpret telemetry and manage various medical equipment. Strong time management skills are essential due to the rapid turnover of patients. Ratios are 1 nurse to 4-5 patients. The patient population served is diverse and includes a wide range of medical conditions. Relief charge may be required. The ability to float to other areas as needed is necessary for this role. The unit prepares for upcoming structural changes that will create two distinct units to enhance specialty care. Candidates are expected to handle frequent patient admissions and transfers efficiently.
