About the Job Are you an attorney who lives for the complexity of asylum law? Do you want to spend your days defending clients in immigration court? We're looking for a Removal Defense Attorney to join our team and focus exclusively on removal proceedings in immigration courts across the East Coast. This is for someone who wants to go deep on asylum, cancellation of removal under INA 240A(b) (42B), and detained matters. Someone who finds real satisfaction in the legal and factual complexity these cases demand, not just competence in the subject but genuine curiosity and drive to master its nuances. Responsibilities Asylum individual hearings (the majority of your caseload) Cancellation of removal (42B) cases Detained removal matters as needed Immigration court appearances throughout the East Coast You're the Ideal Fit If You Bring Strong legal writing skills. You can build a persuasive brief and a clean direct examination package Excellent legal research skills, comfortable digging into case law and building arguments from itDetail-oriented. Nothing slips through the cracks on your cases A genuine interest in asylum law. Real curiosity and drive, not just competence 1–3 years of courtroom experience in immigration proceedings Work Structure Fully remote, with in-person presence required for USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, other proceedings requiring physical presence, and firm office events and team gatherings. Compensation $90,000–$102,000.
