Position Highlights Full-time, employed position Primarily outpatient practice Hospital consultation opportunities as needed Collaborative multidisciplinary care team Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits package CME allowance Paid time off Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Relocation assistance available Physician-led organization focused on quality patient care Position Summary The Rheumatologist will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders, including: Rheumatoid arthritis Lupus Osteoarthritis Psoriatic arthritis Gout Vasculitis Osteoporosis Connective tissue diseases Other complex rheumatologic conditions The physician will develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans while working closely with primary care physicians, specialty providers, rehabilitation professionals, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune disorders Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic testing Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine Prescribe and manage DMARDs, biologic therapies, corticosteroids, and other immunomodulatory medications Perform office-based procedures, including joint aspirations and injections Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and long‑term care plans Collaborate with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology Eligible for Vermont medical licensure DEA registration or ability to obtain Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care Preferred Qualifications Previous outpatient rheumatology experience Experience performing musculoskeletal ultrasound Proficiency with joint aspirations and injections Experience managing osteoporosis and complex autoimmune diseases Strong commitment to evidence-based medicine and quality improvement Why Delphi Healthcare?
