Registered Respiratory Therapist BR

Role: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care for patients of all ages, including procedures such as ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. Responsibilities Perform respiratory therapeutics like oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, airway management, and mechanical ventilation. Conduct and interpret diagnostic procedures including ABGs, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and electrocardiograms. Assess patients through physical exams and medical record review to develop appropriate treatment plans. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment such as ventilators, oxygen analyzers, and blood gas analyzers. Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities. Maintain all equipment and work areas, ensuring proper cleaning and safety standards. Utilize effective communication to enhance patient satisfaction. Perform additional duties as required, demonstrating critical thinking and adaptability. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardio Life Support certifications. Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing, and registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care. Minimum of 6 months respiratory care experience. Knowledge of respiratory assessment, treatment, and equipment troubleshooting. Ability to interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data.
