Additional Responsibilities A dishwasher is primarily responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware. They also assist with other kitchen tasks, such as cleaning and maintaining the dishwashing area, emptying trash, and sometimes helping with food preparation. Dishwashers ensure that all kitchen items are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards, contributing to the smooth operation of the food service establishment.
