Position Overview
\nA premier renewable energy company is seeking a high caliber Associate General Counsel to execute legal strategy across solar energy project transactions and development. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will serve as a key legal and commercial advisor to cross functional deal teams across all project lifecycle stages.

- Drive Clean Energy : Play a central legal role in high impact solar and energy storage deals from inception to closing. \n
- High-Level Visibility : Advise deal teams, investment committees, and executive leadership directly. \n
- Commercial & Legal Integration : Serve as a strategic business partner across 3–5 active deal teams covering project development, acquisitions, and M&A. \n
Key Responsibilities

- Execute Transactions : Negotiate, document, and close portfolio acquisitions, sales, and complex solar project deals. \n
- Development & Site Control : Draft and negotiate land purchase agreements, leases, easements, and offtake contracts; oversee title and survey reviews. \n
- EPC & Operational Advisory : Lead negotiations for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts and advise on land use, environmental regulations, and regulatory compliance. \n
- Governance & Operations : Manage project subsidiary structures with paralegal support, assist with Board reporting, and refine standard legal templates. \n
Candidate Profile & Details

- Experience : Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience, with strong preference for solar and renewable energy transactions (law firm or in-house). \n
- Key Traits : Exceptional commercial judgment, strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and multi project deal management. \n
- Location & Availability : Hybrid | 2 days in the DC/Baltimore area office and 3 days WFH per week. \n
