The success of SCC is rooted in the mission of serving the community by "focusing on academic excellence, student success, workforce advancement, and life-long learning within a global society."We invite qualified candidates to apply for our full-time Mathematics Faculty position to begin with the Fall 2027 semester in August 2027. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology in the delivery of instruction. They will be responsible for assessing student performance in coordination with other members of the Mathematics department to evaluate effectiveness of teaching and student learning and will have demonstrated successful outcomes with a variety of student populations. Primary responsibilities include College service and teaching transfer-level Mathematics courses, such as College Algebra, Contemporary College Mathematics, and College Statistics. Course assignments will depend on departmental needs each semester. Teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester.  Qualifications: A minimum of a Master's degree, M.A. or M.S., in Mathematics is required. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching mathematics at the college level, possess excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to nurture students through the transition from high school to college.
