We are seeking a full-time Health Occupations Academic Program Coordinator (APC) who will work in collaboration with the Director of Customized Solutions & Innovations to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for Health Occupations programs.

The APC maintains a balance of administrative and instructional responsibilities and contributes to the ongoing growth, quality, and effectiveness of Health Occupations programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership and Administration

• Coordinate the day-to-day administration and operations of Health Occupations programs.
• Develop course schedules, instructional calendars, faculty assignments, and operational timelines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support program planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate communication with instructors, healthcare partners, workforce agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain program data related to enrollment, completion, credential attainment, and workforce outcomes.
• Assist with preparation of program information, course schedules, reports, and other public-facing materials.
• Provide graduate verification and approve completion documentation for designated Health Occupations programs.

Curriculum, Instruction, and Faculty Support

• Collaborate with faculty, academic leadership, and industry partners to evaluate and maintain workforce-relevant curriculum and program offerings.
• Support course review, instructional resource selection, and program updates.
• Assist in developing and maintaining educational pathways, credentials, and workforce training opportunities.
• Ensure program requirements align with applicable industry, certification, and regulatory standards.
• Instruct courses within Health Occupations programs based on educational background, professional qualifications, and program needs.
• Develop, maintain, and update course materials, assessments, and instructional resources in accordance with College policies and program requirements.
• Utilize the College's learning management system and instructional technologies to support student learning and success.
• Assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
• Serve as the primary operational resource for instructors regarding course delivery, program requirements, and instructional support.
• Assist instructors with course setup, maintenance, and instructional technology needs.
• Provide guidance regarding student performance, program policies, and instructional concerns.
• Collaborate with the Director to identify instructional staffing needs and coordinate faculty assignments.
• Support instructional quality through collaboration, mentoring, and adherence to program standards.

Clinical and Certification Coordination

• Coordinate clinical placements and experiential learning opportunities for students.
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, K-12 advisors and clinical partners.
• Collect and maintain required clinical, certification, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate certification testing, sponsorship, and reporting processes for designated programs.
• Submit required documentation to certifying and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, industry requirements, and certification standards.

Student Success

• Support student recruitment, onboarding, retention, progression, and completion efforts.
• Coordinate cohort communications regarding schedules, requirements, resources, and program expectations.
• Collaborate with student support staff to maintain accurate completion and progression records.
• Assist in addressing student concerns related to academic performance, attendance, professionalism, and program policies.
• Participate in student grade appeal, grievance, and conduct processes as appropriate.

Laboratory Operations and Resource Management

• Coordinate purchasing and inventory management for Health Occupations laboratories.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, simulation resources, instructional supplies, and related materials.
• Ensure laboratory spaces remain organized, safe, compliant, and operational for instruction.
• Develop budget recommendations and monitor expenditures related to laboratories and instructional resources.

Workforce Development and Community Engagement

• Develop and maintain partnerships that support clinical placements, workforce development initiatives, and program growth.
• Coordinate and participate in advisory committee meetings and support implementation of committee recommendations.
• Represent the College at recruitment events, career fairs, community outreach activities, and industry meetings.
• Support development of new programs, credentials, and workforce pathways responsive to regional labor market needs.

Other Duties

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri. License to be maintained in good standing throughout employment.
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related discipline, education, business, administration, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in higher education, workforce development, healthcare training, program coordination, teaching, or a related field.

OR

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri. License to be maintained in good standing throughout employment.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in healthcare-related discipline, education, business, administration, or a related field.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Teaching experience in healthcare, workforce development, or post-secondary education.
• Experience coordinating healthcare workforce education, allied health, or non-credit training programs.
• Experience with healthcare certification, credentialing, accreditation, regulatory, or compliance requirements.
• Missouri CNA Instructor/Examiner Certificate.
• Missouri CMT Instructor/Examiner Certificate.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Director of Customized Solutions & Innovations and works collaboratively with the Dean of Health, Human Services, and Natural Resources, Workforce Development, faculty, healthcare partners, and other college stakeholders.

Will be subject to a criminal background check.
