Overview
Physical Therapist – General in King City, California. This 13-week travel assignment starts on 08/24/2026 in a short-term acute care hospital setting. You’ll earn $2,737 to $2,870 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The shift is rotating and includes weekends. The workload is expected to be split roughly 50/50 between in-patient and out-patient services, requiring flexibility to work across disciplines and settings.

Responsibilities
- Perform PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings (approx. 50/50 workload)
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, gait, endurance, and functional independence
- Reassess patient progress, adjust plans of care, and document outcomes in the medical record per policy
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and discharge plans; collaborate with the care team to coordinate referrals and post-discharge care
- Ensure patient safety through proper positioning, transfers, and use of mobility equipment; maintain infection control and standard precautions
- Communicate findings and progress with multidisciplinary teams to support effective discharge planning

Requirements
- California Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in California
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient PT settings (approximately 50/50 workload)
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends
- Strong documentation, communication, and patient education skills
- Eligible for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours
