About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist for an exciting 3-month locum assignment in California , with the possibility of extension.

Position Highlights

• Outpatient setting
• 3-month assignment
• ⏰ 32+ hours per week preferred (providers available for 20+ hours/week will also be considered)
• Adult patient population
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, intakes, and comprehensive assessments
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Manage medication and provide ongoing psychiatric follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Review medical records, laboratory results, and diagnostic studies
• Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in treatment team meetings and provide consultation to care providers
• Support families and caregivers through education and counseling
• Assist with legal documentation and court testimony when required
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards

Qualifications

✔ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
✔ Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
✔ Experience treating adult patients in an outpatient setting preferred
✔ Strong communication, clinical, and documentation skills
