Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI-AA (Financial Accounting Asset Accounting) Consultant to support the design, implementation, configuration, integration, and optimization of SAP Asset Accounting processes within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. The consultant will work closely with Finance, Controlling, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable and compliant asset management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP FI-AA processes, including asset master data, asset classes, depreciation areas, depreciation keys, and account determination.
• Design and implement Asset Accounting solutions in SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Configure asset acquisitions, retirements, transfers, disposals, asset under construction (AuC), and intercompany asset transactions.
• Configure and manage depreciation, parallel valuation, book depreciation, tax depreciation, and reporting requirements.
• Support integration between FI-AA, General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Controlling (CO), and Materials Management (MM).
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP FI-AA functional specifications and configuration solutions.
• Perform asset master data conversion, cleansing, reconciliation, and migration activities during SAP implementations and S/4HANA transformations.
• Support legacy asset data migration into SAP using appropriate migration tools and methodologies.
• Configure and validate Universal Journal and Asset Accounting integration in SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop and execute functional test scenarios, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot FI-AA configuration, posting, depreciation, settlement, and reconciliation issues.
• Support month-end, year-end, and fiscal-year closing activities related to Asset Accounting.
• Perform reconciliation between Asset Accounting, General Ledger, and subledger balances.
• Support parallel accounting, multiple ledgers, currencies, and accounting principles.
• Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Work with technical teams on ABAP, interfaces, APIs, reports, and integrations related to FI-AA.
• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, incident resolution, and continuous process improvements.
• Prepare configuration documentation, process flows, test scripts, training materials, and user documentation.
• Collaborate with business users and project teams during SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP FI experience with strong hands-on expertise in Asset Accounting (FI-AA).
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Asset Accounting.
• Hands-on experience configuring asset classes, depreciation areas, depreciation keys, account determination, and asset master data.
• Strong understanding of asset acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirement, disposal, and AuC processes.
• Experience with SAP FI-GL integration and Universal Journal.
• Strong understanding of integration with FI, CO, MM, and other SAP modules.
• Experience with SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, rollout, or production support projects.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and fixed asset accounting principles.
• Experience with asset data migration, reconciliation, and validation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Accounting migration from SAP ECC.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications related to Asset Accounting.
• Knowledge of SAP Central Finance and integration scenarios.
• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit or other SAP data migration tools.
• Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, tax accounting, and parallel valuation requirements.
• Experience working in large-scale global SAP transformation programs.
• SAP FI certification is preferred.
