Premier Group in Hyattsville, MD is hiring a full-time Staff Auditor to ensure operational compliance and maintain strong relationships with clients.

STAFF AUDITOR HOURS:

This remote role has a standard 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of recent, relevant experience with external financial audits for non-profits and/or government entities
• Suitable remote workspace for working from home
• Preferred - proficiency with timekeeping and project management software (i.e., QuickBooks and AuditFile)
• Preferred - strong computer skills with experience using applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE:

To succeed as our Staff Auditor, you'll need meticulous attention to detail and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset. This role plans and performs in-depth audits for clients to ensure compliance and provide suggestions for improvement. You'll be in charge of completing and gathering necessary documentation (PBC documents, planning workpapers, internal control workpapers, substantive/compliance test workpapers, etc.), identifying potential risk areas, and building responsive audit programs in alignment with GAGAS guidelines.

Using auditing and statistical techniques, you'll request sample support and complete fieldwork to gather data. You'll appropriately summarize the results, make compliance recommendations, and prepare accurate final reports. Our client relationships are highly valuable, so it's important that you keep them engaged throughout the process and perform entrance/exit conferences to measure satisfaction. You'll be able to pursue professional development opportunities as well as mentor interns on the auditing process and support their own growth.
