Lancaster, PA • Planning & Design/Land Development Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe OpportunityRETTEW is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager and licensed Professional Engineer to help lead our Land Development team across eastern Pennsylvania.As Land Development Engineering Team Lead, you will support professionals and projects across our Lancaster, Lehigh Valley, and Berwyn markets. You’ll coach and develop Project Managers and technical staff, help align workload and resources across the region, strengthen project and financial performance, and support the continued growth of RETTEW’s Land Development practice.This is an opportunity for an accomplished project leader who is ready to expand their impact beyond individual project delivery while remaining connected to complex projects and important client relationships.What You'll DoAs Land Development Engineering Team Lead, you will:Lead, coach, and mentor Project Managers and technical staff, supporting professional development, accountability, and team performance. Provide people and operational leadership for Land Development professionals supporting RETTEW’s Lancaster, Lehigh Valley, and Berwyn markets. Build stronger coordination across the Region 1 Land Development team by aligning staffing, workload, technical resources, and project needs across offices.Provide leadership and technical oversight for complex land development projects, helping teams achieve quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations.Serve as a resource to Project Managers for project strategy, technical challenges, client engagement, and delivery decisions.Coordinate team workload, staffing, and resource allocation while collaborating across RETTEW offices and disciplines.Monitor team and project financial performance, forecasting, workload, and established operational metrics; work with Project Managers to address performance concerns and opportunities.Maintain and strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities to expand RETTEW's services.Partner with RETTEW's Business Development team to support proposals, pursuits, cross-selling, and client-growth initiatives.Promote multidisciplinary collaboration and effective use of technical resources across the organization.Reinforce RETTEW's quality standards, policies, and expectations.Foster a team culture built around ownership, communication, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.What We're Looking ForRequiredBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.Professional Engineer (PE) license with Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania licensure through reciprocity.Demonstrated experience managing land development projects.Strong technical knowledge of land development engineering and project delivery.Experience leading, mentoring, supervising, or developing professionals in a project or team environment.Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and competing priorities.Ability to plan workload and coordinate resources across multiple projects.Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.Ability to communicate effectively with clients, technical professionals, Project Managers, and organizational leadership.Interest and ability to support business development and client growth in partnership with RETTEW's Business Development team.PreferredExperience managing complex or multidisciplinary land development projects.Demonstrated success expanding existing client relationships or identifying new project opportunities.Experience with team-level financial tracking, forecasting, workload planning, or operational performance metrics.Experience developing Project Managers or emerging leaders.Why This RoleThis position offers the opportunity to:Move into a defined engineering leadership role while remaining connected to meaningful technical and client work.Develop Project Managers, technical professionals, and future leaders.Influence team culture, engagement, accountability, and performance.Gain broader exposure to financial, operational, and resource-management responsibilities.Partner with Business Development professionals rather than carrying business-development responsibility alone.Help shape the continued growth and success of RETTEW's Land Development practice.Collaborate with professionals across offices and disciplines on challenging projects.Work EnvironmentWorkplace Designation: HybridLocation: Lancaster, Lehigh Valley, or Berwyn, PA This role requires regular in-office collaboration with team members and leadership and regional engagement across RETTEW’s eastern Pennsylvania offices. Travel between offices, client locations, and project sites will occur as needed to support the team, clients, and project delivery.
