Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Needed in Indianapolis (Park 100 Area)Shifts: 2nd or 3rd shift (8 hour shifts)We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with electrical and mechanical expertise to support our recycling operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of sorting, shredding, washing, and extrusion equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime in a fast-paced recycling environment.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair 480VAC, 3-phase motors, VFDs, and control panels for shredders, extruders, and conveyor systems.Diagnose electrical faults in optical sorters, balers, and pelletizers using multimeters, meggers, and PLC diagnostics.Perform bearing replacements, gearbox repairs, and belt/chain adjustments on conveyors and granulators.Weld (MIG) and fabricate repairs on hopper liners, screw augers, and shredder blades.Troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems for bailing presses and material handlers.Align and maintain extruder barrels, dies, and cooling systems to prevent production defects.Why Work Here?Competitive pay with bonus program, benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k), and PTO.Career growth in the expanding recycling industry.Hands-on work with advanced recycling technologies.Annual raisesBonus programJob Type & LocationThis is a contract to hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
