Job Description
Members of the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator group are responsible for setup, operation and maintenance of SMT processes and equipment under guidance of the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate SMT equipment
- Read process documentation and produce 1st pieces
- Inspect work and identify quality issues
- Perform hand component placement
- Maintain equipment and complete documentation
Qualifications:
- Computer literate and comfortable with equipment software
- Able to stand and work on feet throughout the day
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Knowledge of J-STD/IPC standards
- Knowledge of component identification and quality requirements
Experience:
- 2+ years SMT, preferably with MyData equipment.
- Certified IPC Specialist and/or proven ability to meet qualifications.
