PurposeThe Senior Program Manager for the America in the World Consortium (AWC) within the Clements Center for National Security at The University of Texas at Austin provides strategic program leadership, long-range planning, budget oversight, and donor coordination for the Consortium with primary responsibility for fulfilling the Clements Center's commitments to the Consortium. Note: Early-career scholars appointed to this role may devote up to 20% of their annual workload to their own scholarly research, much of which will be concentrated in the summer months.
This is a fixed term (12 month) position. The appointment may be extended for additional 12-month increments upon mutual agreement and funding availability.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Austin-based Program Director to fulfill job responsibilities below, synchronizing efforts for effectiveness and efficiency.Coordinates with and provides travel, logistics, and staff support for conferences and events sponsored by the America in the World Consortium. Plans and manages the Consortium's annual policy workshop, Young Scholar's Conference at UT Austin, 2-3 fellow summits at Duke University or Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and the Consortium's participation at the Age of Reagan Conference.
- Support donor relations and development efforts, including donor communications and facilitating engagement between donors and students. Write and coordinate grant proposals and reports. Seek new institutional funding streams.
- Manage the full annual cycle of predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships, including recruitment and outreach, application portal administration, application review, selection processes, and fellow onboarding.
- Prepare and manage program budgets, monitor expenditures in accordance with approved allocations, and maintain records and reports on program activities and outcomes. Create and process required electronic documents, including payment vouchers, procurement card transactions, and travel authorizations and reimbursements. Support grant development and administration, including budget preparation and proposal submission, and maintain strong relationships with donors and funding partners.
- Collaborate and work closely with Clements Center staff to manage Texas based events and programming, including guest speakers, lecture series, conferences, and symposia. Oversee all event logistics, communications, marketing, and expense management, including venue selection, contract negotiation, scheduling, facility setup, audio-visual coordination, and advertising. Collaborate and work closely with Clements Center staff to manage Texas based predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows.
- Maintain the Consortium's website, media contacts, mailing lists, and social media presence, and develop and distribute marketing and communications materials.

Bachelor's degree.
Three or more years' experience in an administration/management capacity, grant administration, donor development or other related area with progressive responsibility in the development and special projects to acquire skills necessary to provide program and administrative support for the program.
Demonstrated experience managing a budget and financial reporting for a program of $1 million + annually.
Knowledge about and experience with event planning, public relations and marketing, and social media.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to interact well with graduate students, faculty, senior policy figures and prospective donors, as well as with undergraduates.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications-
Graduate degree in a field related to American foreign policy, international relations, and/or security studies.
Demonstrated interest in and substantial understanding of American foreign policy affairs, global policy, and national security preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to international engagement preferred.
Policy experience desirable.
$55,000 - $105,000 depending on experience
Working Conditions-

This position is based in Austin, TX and is required to work on campus.
