- Skills in delivery of baby


Description:
We are seeking a qualified RN for the Labor & Delivery unit.
The facility has a total of 351 licensed beds.
It is a teaching hospital with no trauma designation.
The unit consists of 10 beds.
Patient types include labor, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and hypertension.
Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards of 1:1 and 1:2.
A surgical tech will be available on the unit.
Our team includes a charge nurse who may or may not be part of staffing.
Phlebotomy services are available.
An IV/VAT team is not available.
A resource nurse is not applicable.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.
Intensivist services are on-site 24/7 if needed.
Fetal monitoring is conducted on the unit.
The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record system.
IV pumps are made by Baxter.
Medication dispensing is managed by Omnicell.
Fetal heart monitors are provided by GE.
Unit-specific equipment includes Novii, Neptune, Bovie, and Panda warmers.
There is no floating to other units.
Scrubs are provided for use in the unit.
The unit culture is described as strong.
