Manufacturing Engineer

Description: 

ENG- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for cable harnesses, subassemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. Develop production sequences, fabrication procedures, inspection and test requirements, and statistical process control techniques while evaluating equipment performance and addressing deficiencies. Provide engineering guidance regarding design concepts and specification requirements and ensure processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations.

#Education & Job Requirements

*High School Diploma or GED equivalent
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Preferred Skills

*4 - 6 years of experience with Electro-Mechanical
*6+ years of experience with cable harnesses
*6+ years of experience reading engineering schematics

#Job Duties & Functions

*Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for cable harnesses and subassemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling
*Develop sequences of operations and specify procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions affecting product performance
*Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
*Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan
*Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency
*Investigate problems and deficiencies and initiate corrective action to ensure product quality
*Apply statistical process control techniques to manufacturing processes
*Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
*Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations
