Laboratory Technician III

Position Summary Seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician III to support research engineers, lab supervisors, and chemists with laboratory testing, high-pressure flow experiments, equipment maintenance, and QA/QC activities within an oil & gas laboratory environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform flow experiments and physical testing using high-pressure systems .
• Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory analysis and wet chemistry testing .
• Test fuel products, including jet fuel, gasoline, and diesel .
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Prepare samples, chemical solutions, reagents, and testing standards.
• Enter and maintain accurate testing data using LIMS and prepare reports in Excel .
• Troubleshoot out-of-control test results and repeat analyses when necessary.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols , including procedures for handling hazardous chemicals.
• Support multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience , preferably within oil & gas .
• Hands-on experience with flow-through high-pressure systems .
• Familiarity with radiology, microscopy, or spectroscopy .
• Experience with laboratory safety procedures and hazardous chemicals.
• Strong Excel reporting skills and familiarity with LIMS.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical/polytechnic education in Geoscience, Chemistry, Chemical/Process Engineering, or a related field .
• Previous QA/QC experience.
• Experience with Visio or similar software .
