Maintenance Specialist

A private family is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Maintenance Specialist / Carpenter / Handyman to serve as a true right hand to the estate manager at a private residence in Westchester County! This is a higher-level, trades-oriented role supporting the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the residence and surrounding property. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise across multiple construction and building systems, managing both routine repairs and custom projects with precision and professionalism. Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship across a wide range of projects and maintenance responsibilities. Responsibilities General carpentry, including drywall cutting and patching. Painting and finish work. HVAC systems maintenance. Small electrical and wiring projects. Plumbing diagnostics and maintenance. Specialty projects and troubleshooting across building systems. General property upkeep and preventative maintenance. Supporting renovations and ongoing development projects. Assisting with groundskeeping as needed. Working closely with the estate manager as a true right hand across day-to-day and project-based needs. Qualifications Demonstrated experience as a skilled tradesperson across any combination of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or general construction. Expert knowledge of building systems, tools, materials, and safety practices. Proactive, hands-on approach to identifying and solving maintenance needs with creative, effective solutions. Detail-oriented and organized, able to juggle multiple competing priorities. Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing demanding manual labor. Professional demeanor with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and vendors. Valid driver's license Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is a significant plus. Schedule Full-time Onsite, M-F Compensation $125,000 to $150,000K DOE + comprehensive benefits package.
