Job Details Compensation: The hourly base pay range for this position is $11.98 per hour plus $5–$10 per hour in tips. Compensation will be based on a candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location. Work Schedule: Open availability; AM/PM shifts. Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Associate is also responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick‑up of guest luggage (where applicable). Essential Functions Maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor and uses guest last names during interactions. Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations. Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt. Consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. The total amount of time for all functions of the job is 100%. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure, Certification, etc.: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state in which the work is performed. Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills Read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to guests, clients and other employees. Add and subtract three‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds using units of American money. Understand 24‑hour and military time systems; understand rates applicable to time passed. Operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking. Scope & Authority The job is fairly routine. The incumbent follows established practices and procedures; duties are performed with specific directions given and are checked or verified frequently. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Budget Responsibility The employee has control over resources available only. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Work is required to talk or hear frequently; sit or stand for extended periods; run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Lifting up to 100pounds occasionally, 50pounds frequently, or 20pounds constantly is required. Employees work outdoors for most of the shift in extreme heat or cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not guaranteed. Travel up to 5% may be required.
