Lab AssociateTitle: Lab AssociateLocation: Largo, FLIndustry: Pharmaceutical & Chemical ManufacturingSchedule: Wednesday to Sunday (7:00 am 3:30 pm)Pay Rate: $20/hr.Employment Type: Contract with the possibility to go permanentJob SummaryThe Lab Associate supports the Quality Control team by assisting with sample management, basic laboratory testing, and routine lab activities. This role will be trained to collect swab samples and perform analysis to help keep manufacturing equipment in a state of availability, along with supporting other entry-level laboratory tasks as needed.Why You ll Want to Work HereJoin a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing team where you can gain hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated environment, learn from experienced professionals, and build valuable laboratory skills with opportunities for growth.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains sample organizationReceives samples from production and completely/accurately fills out the chain of custody logbookCommunicates issues with sample receipts directly to manufacturingPrints testing standards and issues worksheets for samples, including bulk, packaged goods, stability, and validationsCreates test packets for techs/chemists and stages them on the sample supermarket shelf (samples plus documentation)Retain finished packaged productManages orderliness and cleanliness of the QC retain cageFulfills retain sample requests from other departments (such as customer complaints)Assists with archival of lab data packets other documentation as directedManages the lab s glassware and plasticware washing processesSoaks, cleans, dries, and stores away laboratory glassware almost dailyMaintains the soak solutions (soap, acidic, methanol, etc.) to ensure they are kept clean and fresh using lab safety practices for discarding old solutions and preparing new onesPerforms preventative maintenance tasks on the lab s dishwasher and drying ovenManages the process to send out critical lab samples for external testing, including frequent communication with the courier servicePerforms basic laboratory testing such as organoleptic, pH, and viscosityPerforms various housekeeping tasks in the lab as assignedPerforms various administrative tasks as assigned by lab supervision/managementQUALIFICATIONS:Some college (Science, Technical) preferred, but minimum High School Diploma or GED1-2 years working in cGMP environment (pharmaceutical or related industry experience preferred)Basic handwriting with legibilityBasic math skillsBasic Computer skills (Word, Excel)Availability to work longer hours and or weekends as neededClear comprehension of the English language: read, write, and interpretCRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Positive attitudeGood work ethicLifting some items up to ~40lbsAbility to stand for long periods of timeEfficiently manage time to complete necessary tasksPHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:The typical work environment and physical effort required to perform the duties of your job.Environmental DemandNormal office environmentExposure to chemicals and/or other potential hazardsEOE/ADAIND123SRG4 Life Sciences delivers flexible staffing solutions nationwide, specializing in pharmaceutical, CDMO/CMO, medical device, clinical research, PBM, pharmacy, food and beverage, nutraceutical, laboratory, and consumer product sectors.
