With more than 700 members representing industries including luxury, finance, technology, consumer goods, food & beverage, and professional services, FACC-NY brings together executives and companies through networking, business development opportunities, executive programming, visa services, and customized business support. Position Summary The Membership & Business Development Associate is responsible for helping grow and strengthen FACC-NY's membership community by attracting new member companies, building lasting relationships with existing members, and supporting key Chamber initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director of Membership, this role combines business development, relationship management, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organized, customer-focused, and excited to work as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team. Key Responsibilities I - Grow Membership Help expand FACC-NY's community by identifying and developing relationships with prospective member companies. Responsibilities include: Researching and identifying prospective member companies across the French-American business community. Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of prospects using the Chamber's CRM. Conducting outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, networking events, and referrals. Meeting with prospective members to understand their business objectives and present the value of FACC-NY membership. Ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for all new members. Representing FACC-NY at Chamber programs and external networking events to generate new business opportunities. II - Retain & Engage Members Develop trusted relationships with an assigned portfolio of member companies while helping maximize their engagement with the Chamber. Responsibilities include: Serving as the primary relationship manager for an assigned member portfolio. Maintaining accurate member records within the CRM Conducting proactive member check-ins and identifying opportunities to increase engagement. Supporting membership renewal efforts and contributing to strong member retention. Connecting members with relevant events, committees, sponsorship opportunities, Learning Expeditions, business services, and International Career Development (J-1 Visa) programs. Responding promptly to member inquiries and providing outstanding customer service. Identifying opportunities for membership upgrades and cross-selling additional Chamber services when appropriate. III - Support Chamber Initiatives As part of a lean and collaborative team, contribute to the successful execution of Chamber programs and operations. Responsibilities include: Supporting membership reporting and data preparation Assisting with Learning Expeditions through business development support, client coordination, logistics, speaker outreach, and day-of, on-site support. Supporting member outreach and attendance for Chamber events and providing on-site assistance as needed. Contributing to ongoing process improvements and helping optimize the Chamber's CRM and operational workflows Collaborating across departments to ensure members receive a seamless and high-quality experience. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in business development, account management, partnerships, membership, customer success, relationship management, or a related field. Association experience is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to take initiative. Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in French is strongly preferred. Authorization to work in the United States is required. The FACC-NY will not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Hybrid work model (at home/in office) based in New York City. Compensation: $68,000 to $82,000 based on experience and qualifications.
