Director, Software Technical Product Management - BioInsight Platform Commercialization

Illumina seeks a Director of Software Technical Product Management to lead commercialization strategy for the BioInsight Platform, a multi-product software access foundation. This role owns pricing, packaging, go-to-market execution, and revenue generation while managing a team and partnering across sales, finance, and product organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own BioInsight Platform commercialization strategy end-to-end including tenancy, IAM, entitlements, pricing, packaging, and trial-to-paid conversion
• Lead and develop a team of technical product managers focused on commercial product excellence
• Define and execute go-to-market strategy for major platform releases with messaging, enablement, and launch metrics
• Partner with Finance, Sales, and Legal on pricing decisions, commercial constructs, and deal support
• Establish multi-quarter commercialization roadmap and drive Voice of Customer research on commercial friction points

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 18+ years in technical or business field; MBA preferred
• 12+ years progressive product management or commercial product leadership in B2B enterprise software
• 5+ years leading managers or senior individual contributors
• Proven ownership of pricing, packaging, or monetization for platform or multi-product portfolio
• Experience partnering with sales leadership on enterprise deals and translating commercial friction into change
• Strong executive communication skills; comfortable with executive leadership and customer settings
• Familiarity with cloud commercial models (PAYG, commits, credits, trials) and regulated software environments preferred
