CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, tech-savvy Customer Service Representative to join our fast-paced healthcare call center team. In this fully remote role, you will serve as the empathetic voice of our organization, assisting members with complex inquiries regarding their healthcare benefits, eligibility, and provider networks. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, possesses stellar communication skills, and is highly reliable with a commitment to strict performance and attendance standards. Key Responsibilities High-Volume Support: Manage a steady flow of inbound calls (averaging 70-80 calls per day) while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. Member Assistance: Expertly handle complex inquiries related to health insurance benefits, eligibility coverage, and provider information. System Navigation: Efficiently navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously (including Office 365 and major healthcare/EHR systems) to accurately document and retrieve information. Training Commitment: Successfully complete a rigorous 12-week paid training program. (Note: Strict attendance with zero unauthorized time off is mandatory during the training period). Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of proven customer service experience. Core Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the empathy needed to support members in a healthcare setting. Testing: Must successfully pass a standardized customer service skills assessment during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Responds professionally to inquiries from internal/external customers. 
Promotes, ensures and provides customer service to internal/external customers by demonstrating skills which are consistent with the organization's philosophy of providing extraordinary customer relations and quality service. 
Initiates contact with the appropriate Health Plan, medical group and facility personnel to obtain information relevant to the concern or inquiry as needed. 
Evaluates data to determine and implement the appropriate course of action to resolve the complaint and/or coordinate service recovery. 
Develop a full awareness of the way performance and actions affect members and Member Service.
