Die Repair Machinist, Progressive Tooling
Shift: First shift | Status: Full-time

Is this you?- Do you troubleshoot dies right in the press and get production back on track?
- Can you interpret CMM layouts to determine exactly where an adjustment is needed?
- Are you confident tuning nitrogen cylinders, pad pressures, and manifold pressures?
- Do you eliminate scrap marks by finding their root cause?
- Can you machine new details—sections, punches—and repair cracked or welded components?
- Repair and improve progressive stamping dies with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Analyze parts using stamping gauges; make accurate die adjustments.
- Use CMM layout information to guide corrections and verify outcomes.
- Perform bench-based PM; identify and address wear or damage.
- Sharpen details; shim to maintain timing, shear, and stagger.
- Confirm die sensor operation and adjust for reliable function.
- Dial in nitrogen, pad, and manifold pressures.
- Troubleshoot issues while the die is in the press.
- Fabricate new die details as required (die sections, punches).
- Repair cracked/welded die details.
- Operate machine tools: mill, surface grinder, lathe, profiler.
- Record all PM time in the database with accuracy.
- Keep work areas neat and orderly.
- Follow all quality and work instructions; use micrometers, calipers, and process gauges; document clearly.
- Prioritize safety and always use safety devices correctly, including safety blocks.
- Collaborate, support team decisions, and help teach and train operators.
- Minimum 2 years of die repair experience (required).
- Journeyman License (preferred).
- Proficiency in mechanical systems and component repair.
- Strong tool/die/mold repair skills.
