Federal Government Affairs Manager

Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Federal Government Affairs Manager for its Washington, DC office to develop and execute legislative strategy, build relationships with Congress, and advance company policy priorities in healthcare and pharmaceutical access.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple legislative work streams and execute federal government affairs strategy independently
• Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress and staff to advance policy priorities
• Monitor legislation and congressional activity; synthesize research on policy implications and opportunities
• Develop briefing materials and talking points for internal and external stakeholders
• Represent company interests in trade and advocacy groups; identify and implement process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years healthcare, legislative, or public policy experience
• Prior congressional or Administration staff experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of federal legislative process and pharmaceutical policy landscape
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with sound judgment
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail
• Project management and stakeholder relationship building capabilities
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency; project management platforms experience preferred

Compensation: $119,700–$164,000 base; 30% annual bonus target
