Buckner Retirement Services Community : Ventana by Buckner Location: Dallas, TX - Onsite Address: 8301 N Central Expy, Dallas, TX 75225 Shift: Tuesday through Saturday / 8:30 am - 5 pm Job Schedule : Full Time We are seeking a Lifestyles Associate to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Lifestyles Associate, you will impact the lives of all members and residents through assisting with activities and programming in a senior living setting. What You’ll Do: Regularly survey and interview residents and work with resident led committee to determine the residents’ past and present interests, talents, and their satisfaction with community programs and activities. Develop and implement activities for the residents in accordance with their needs. Recognize the individuality, diversity and spirituality of all residents when planning activities and celebrating holiday functions. Provide quality activities to residents in an environment which promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality. Provide individualized attention to each resident to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing. Assist in developing and coordinating activities and programs for residents including games, reading, listening, and organizing community involvement. What You’ll Bring: High School diploma or GED. Minimum one-year related experience preferred, in wellness, fitness or recreational therapy in senior living, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training. Requires proficient working knowledge of the aging process as it relates to senior adults in an independent living setting. Requires ability to organize activities and work with other departments and/or units to implement the activities. Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English. A friendly attitude and a servant’s heart.
