MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Title: Medical Assistant
Duration: 3 months contract + Contract to Hire
Location: Seattle, WA
Shift: Day Shift

Essential Responsibilities:
Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent health information
Support providers during examinations and clinical procedures
Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for children and families
Administer vaccines and immunizations in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
Perform hearing screenings and vision testing
Perform CLIA-waived testing according to clinic policies and regulatory standards
Collect, document, and process test results accurately

Minimum Qualifications:
Active Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) or Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) credential
Current authorization to practice in Washington State
Experience in an outpatient clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Pediatrics experience
Experience administering childhood immunizations
Familiarity with hearing screenings, vision testing, and CLIA-waived laboratory testing
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
Bilingual communication skills
