Lead a high-volume grocery department where your decisions directly influence product selection, merchandising, team performance, customer experience, and sales growth. This Grocery Manager role is a great opportunity for an experienced retail, grocery, food, or merchandising leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning day-to-day department operations. You will oversee product flow from purchasing through receiving, storage, rotation, and presentation while developing a knowledgeable, customer-focused team.

Lead daily grocery department operations, ensuring shelves, displays, backstock, and inventory are organized, well-maintained, and customer-ready. Recruit, train, coach, and develop department employees to build a high-performing, service-driven team. Identify performance gaps and provide constructive coaching to support employee growth and accountability. Manage the full product lifecycle, including buying, transportation, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation, and merchandising. Inspect products for freshness, quality, condition, accuracy, and presentation standards. Drive department sales and profitability through strategic purchasing, inventory management, merchandising, product placement, and exceptional customer service. Monitor inventory levels and product movement to reduce waste, improve availability, and support strong in-stock conditions. Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors, sales representatives, and business partners. Partner with vendors to identify new product opportunities, seasonal trends, promotional opportunities, and items that support customer demand. Maintain accurate records, department files, product information, and operational documentation. Support a clean, safe, organized work environment for employees and customers. Assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and issue resolutions. Travel between store locations and industry events or shows as needed. Take on additional department and store responsibilities based on business needs.

Previous grocery, retail, food service, merchandising, warehouse, or specialty-food experience preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of inventory control, product rotation, receiving, ordering, merchandising, and retail operations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable. Customer-focused communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with vendors and team members. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities. Basic computer, math, data-entry, filing, and recordkeeping skills. Experience with Google Drive and Microsoft Office is a plus. Must be at least 21 years old.
