Description

• Conduct evaluations in either inpatient or outpatient contexts and create personalized treatment plans
• Deliver physical therapy techniques focused on mobility, strength, balance, and functional ability
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and home exercise routines
• Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment strategies, and progress following facility and regulatory protocols
• Join interdisciplinary meetings and care team discussions to facilitate coordinated patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification highly regarded
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
