Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Locums - Jackson, Michigan Interventional Cardiology Opportunity Clinical Role Seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Jackson, Michigan. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient Interventional Cardiology coverage, including clinic, cath lab, and call responsibilities. IMLC candidates are welcome. Schedule & Coverage Start Date: January 4, 2027 Duration: Ongoing Coverage Need: Approximately 1.0 FTE; may be shared among 2-3 physicians Schedule: Approximately 4-5 shifts per week during assigned coverage Monthly Coverage: Approximately 1-2 weeks per month, depending on physician availability Clinic: 2-3 shifts per week, 8:00 am-4:30 pm Cath Lab: 2 shifts per week, 7:30 am-5:00 pm Weekday Call: Approximately 1 night during assigned weekday coverage, 7:00 pm-7:00 am Weekend Call: Approximately 1 weekend call assignment during scheduled coverage, 7:00 am-7:00 am Call Ratio: Approximately 1:6 Call Type: Beeper/phone Average Callback: Approximately 2-4 hours, depending on weekday versus weekend coverage Practice Setting & Patient Volume Setting: Clinic and inpatient/hospital-based Patient Population: Adults ages 18+ Patient Mix: Approximately 60% inpatient and 40% outpatient Cath Lab Volume: Approximately 4-6 procedures per day, including add-ons Clinic Volume: Approximately 18-20 patients per day, depending on the mix of new and established patients Rounding: No general cardiology rounding responsibilities; hospital rounding is handled by the non-invasive cardiology team Procedures & Clinical Skills Preferred procedural skills include: Cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography Balloon angioplasty Pulmonary embolism treatment PCI with IVUS Stent implantation Atherectomy Valvuloplasty Left main PCI Bifurcation stenting Mechanical circulatory support, including IABP, Impella, and ECMO Additional Responsibilities Support APP training within Interventional Cardiology Participate in assigned weekday and weekend call coverage Requirements & Systems Board Certification in Cardiology required Interventional Cardiology fellowship required 1-5 years of experience required Active Michigan license or IMLC required BLS, ACLS, and DEA required EMR: Epic for inpatient and outpatient care What's great about Jackson, Michigan?
