Maintenance Worker

Lead Maintenance WorkerThe Lead Maintenance Worker performs and oversees a variety of maintenance-related tasks. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pmPosition Responsibilities- Ensure work is accomplished in a professional manner and conforms with work order requirements, specifications, and building codes- Compute material requirements for specific jobs- Maintain adequate shop stock levels and requisition tools, equipment, materials, and supplies for accomplishing shop assignments- Assign duties to staff and provide routine guidance- Perform the duties of a maintenance worker- Perform duties as a member of the Fire Brigade- Perform other related duties as assignedExperience & Educational Background- A High School Diploma- 5 years of recent experience in a variety of building trades is required- Construction industry experience is preferred- A valid state driver's license is requiredSkills & Competencies- Must possess the strength and dexterity needed to perform the job and the physical ability to move equipment as necessary- Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the University- Must be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills, and the ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively- Must be able to effectively provide direction to lower-level staff- Respirator Fit Testing may be requiredSalary RangeSalary Range: Grade 91199New Hire rate: $31.07One Year of Service rate $31.70About UsYeshiva University is dedicated to academic excellence, intellectual exploration, and the advancement of timeless values that shape and impact lives.
