Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Psychiatric Unit, Holyoke, MA. This behavioral health nursing role provides direct and indirect patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The position supports adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients and participates in care planning, clinical communication, and discharge planning.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; HWC certification; graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or nursing diploma program; and at least one year of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Schedule: Evening shifts are 8 hours per shift with 40 hours per week. Weekend coverage is every other weekend or as needed, with no call requirement.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include developing nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff; communicating changes in clinical condition to appropriate members of the care team; participating in discharge planning; and providing care for patients with conditions such as schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety. The role supports adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Attendance at scheduled orientation is required, and alternate start dates cannot be accommodated. Blue scrubs are required.
