Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience with multi-categorical or self-contained classrooms welcome
• Background working with elementary school-aged students, especially grades 3-5, is preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate approach
• Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
• Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom climate

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction and modifications for a caseload of 11 students with varying exceptionalities
• Develop, document, and review IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
• Utilize engaging teaching strategies and interventions to ensure student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers
• Implement behavioral, social, and academic supports in line with best practices
• Monitor student growth and maintain accurate records
• Create a classroom environment where all students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically

This contract offers a full-time schedule, ranging from 37.5 to 40 hours per week, giving you the stability to build strong relationships and make meaningful progress with your students.
