Conference and Event Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference and Event Support Specialist who is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day coordination and technical support of conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless scheduling, setup, technology readiness, and customer service for both internal and external events hosted at the conference center.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Assist the Conference Center Lead in all Conference Center and Support Functions for customers.
• Assist in the end-to-end planning and execution of meetings and events including conferences, workshops, and client engagements.
• Assist the coordinating for all logistical elements: registration, catering, A/V, décor, security, and guest services.
• Assist in reporting monthly financial documentation for the cafeteria and catering.
• Ensure a seamless guest experience through proactive planning, clear communication, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align event objectives, branding, and messaging.
• Familiar with event management and registration platforms to streamline logistics, reporting, and attendee engagement.
• Assist post-event evaluations and report on successes, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in set up for all functions involving the conference center and break-out areas
• Assist in implementing required security protocols for classified conferences and briefings.

Basic Qualifications

• TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
• Experience in kitchen operations (coffee machines, warmers, coolers)
• Understanding of event timelines and set up requirements timelines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in executing events in government regulated environments.
• Understanding of catering services and A/V requirements.
• Knowledge of scheduling, workforce planning, or long-term strategic event portfolio management.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
