Job Description About the Opportunity Our staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in North Dallas with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6‑month contract position starting as soon as possible. Employment Type: Contract (6 months) Schedule: Flexible - Part‑time or Full‑time available Hours: 20‑50 hours per week (based on your availability) Location: Preston @ i635 Key Responsibilities Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms Take and process dental radiographs (X‑rays) Prepare materials for impressions and restorations Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment Educate patients on post‑treatment care and oral hygiene Perform front office duties as needed including scheduling and patient communication Requirements Required Qualifications Experience Level (one of the following): Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on dental assisting experience, OR Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program Additional Requirements: Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred but Not Required: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification Experience with dental practice management software What Makes This Opportunity Special Flexibility: Choose part‑time or full‑time hours based on your lifestyle needs New Graduates Welcome: Great opportunity to launch your dental assisting career with an established practice Established Practice: Join a well‑respected dental office with a solid reputation in the New Braunfels community Professional Growth: Work alongside experienced dental professionals and expand your skills Contract Position: Perfect for dental assistants seeking temporary work or exploring career opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Dcotx
