Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room RN provides high-quality, acute patient care in a busy emergency department setting. This role requires clinical expertise, adaptability, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival using established triage protocols.
• Administer emergency treatments, medications, and interventions accurately and efficiently.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes within the Epic electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Manage airway, monitor vital signs, and utilize invasive and non-invasive monitoring tools.
• Respond to emergency situations, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other critical incidents.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an emergency setting.
• Previous travel assignment experience is required, with at least one completed contract preferred.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience within the past two years.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work in a rural/critical access hospital setting.
