Security Officer I – Tropicana Laughlin Must be 21+ to work in this position. What You'll Do Assist guests and team members in a wide range of situations with professionalism and care Respond to and investigate incidents, accidents, and emergencies involving guests, employees, or property Remain calm, focused, and decisive during crisis situations Document incidents accurately and recall key details when needed Communicate with outside agencies—including Metro Police, Fire Department, and Paramedics—during property incidents Follow all company and departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols Provide direction and support during emergency situations, following instructions from management and outside authorities Maintain knowledge of investigations, gaming regulations, and internal controls Deliver Caesars Entertainment’s Family Style Service to guests and team members If Assigned to Casino Patrol Handle monetary transactions between the Cage and Gaming Tables in compliance with gaming regulations Distribute gaming table cash boxes and assist with box pulls for the count team Provide escorts for slot drops, stand‑bys, and other secure movements as needed What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred Valid local driver’s license and clean MVR (36 months, not to exceed 3 points) Alcohol Awareness Card Dual‑property Gaming License (Tropicana & Harrah’s Laughlin) CPR and AED certification Ability to restrain adults in excess of 200 lbs Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests, team members, and outside agencies Physical & Mental Demands Ability to work up to 12‑hour shifts any day of the week Run, stand, walk entire shift, and maneuver in confined spaces Work in hot or cold temperatures and outdoor environments Walk up and down stairs frequently Bend, reach, stoop, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs Push/pull up to 150 lbs Tolerate high‑noise areas and second‑hand smoke Sit for extended periods when required Accurate money/chip handling Computer literacy and ability to type reports Must speak, read, write, and understand English Benefits Earn Your Bachelor’s Degree for FREE through Caesars Entertainment & our university partners Student Loan Debt Assistance to help lighten your financial load A People‑First Culture where every team member is valued Affordable Medical, Dental & Vision Plans with flexible options 401(k) with Company Match to support your long‑term financial goals Caesars Entertainment’s Signature Family‑Style Service that makes our workplace feel like home Paid Time Off so you can recharge Exclusive Discounts on hotel stays, dining, entertainment, retail, and more #J-18808-Ljbffr Caesars Entertainment
