This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining quality systems, controls, and standards to support the manufacturing operation, particularly in the context of pilot builds, production ramp, and full-scale production. Key responsibilities include leading the plant quality strategy, overseeing quality assurance and control activities, managing supplier quality processes, and owning build quality execution for various production events. The role also involves developing and maintaining launch quality plans, driving quality improvement initiatives, and championing a zero-defect mindset. Applicants for the Head of Plant Manufacturing Quality position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive quality leadership experience in automotive, EV, or complex high-volume manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading plant-level quality operations, building quality organizations, and working with suppliers on quality issues. Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems and methodologies is essential, as is the ability to develop teams, establish operating rhythms, and create accountability within a manufacturing setting.
