Job Description
Kitchen Assistants are responsible for supporting kitchen staff in the execution of daily production and participating in the organization and maintenance of a clean and orderly kitchen.
REPORTS TOKitchen Manager
DUTIES- Support daily production accurately and efficiently, according to direction from kitchen leadership. This includes but is not limited to product portioning, scooping dough, and prepping ingredients.
- Perform ongoing dishwashing duties to support daily production.
- Complete assigned work within expected timeframes and communicate proactively when additional support is needed.
- Uphold a clean, organized, sanitary, and functional workspace throughout the shift.
- Contribute to daily cleaning tasks once assigned work is complete.
- Participate in the execution of daily, weekly and monthly tasks to support a clean, efficient, and functional kitchen.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and workplace safety procedures.
- Contribute to a productive and collaborative work environment.
- Dishwashing or professional kitchen experience preferred
- Demonstrated interest in baking with a desire to develop in a production bakery environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.
- Flexibility to fulfill multiple shifts
- Valid driver’s license & comfortable driving a small delivery van
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physically able to stand long periods of time and lift & carry 50 lbs.
- Dependable, flexible and team-oriented.
