Sr. FP&A Analyst

-The Senior FP&A Analyst will be a key participant in the creation of the company’s annual budgets and long-term plans, prepare detailed financial analysis against budgeted, forecasted and prior period results, and develop KPIs that will provide management with analytical tools to establish goals and measure the performance of the company. This role will act as a financial business partner to cross-functional areas of the organization.**Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:*** As the Senior FP&A Analyst you will be involved with the following: + Revenue Planning + Loss Ratio Planning + Long-Term Projections + Performance against Plan reporting* Prepare timely and accurate monthly reporting and variance analysis for key financial and operational metrics, understanding performance drivers against budget, forecast and prior periods* Build relationships with business leaders to become a trusted partner who can identify trends and recommend actions based on financial analysis* Build out, analyze, and communicate results of strategic initiatives and articulate impact to overall business based on performance* Provide strong ad-hoc financial and business decision support as needed, including developing financial models**Technical Knowledge and Understanding:*** Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Excellent organizational and analytical skills* Ability to work independently* Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively* Attention to detail**Experience:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required; P&C insurance experience preferred* 4 plus years of relevant financial experience; preferably including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis* Strong proficiency in developing financial models* Effective time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines with limited supervision* Demonstrated ability to be proactive, analytical, and use critical and strategic thinking to solve complex problems* Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis* Strong collaboration skills in order to establish key partnerships with stakeholders* Possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills* Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over work authorization sponsorship now or in the future for this position. #LI-Hybrid-At Core Specialty, you will receive a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
