General Laborer

## Entry-Level Recycling Sorter

• *$11.00 per hour**
• *Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM**

Local Alliance Company **New to the workforce?** This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the industrial field. No experience required — we will train you! We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our recycling team. This position involves working outdoors in the elements year-round and performing physical labor in a fast-paced environment. --- ### Job Duties:

• Sort and separate recyclable materials including cardboard, paper, plastic, cans, and metal
• Empty remaining liquids from containers before materials enter the recycling process (employees will get wet when dumping expired liquids)
• Inspect incoming loads and remove unacceptable materials
• Safely deposit recoverable materials into appropriate bins
• Assist team members with heavy or bulky items as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform general labor tasks as assigned
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

### Work Environment:

• Work outdoors in the elements all year round (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
• Employees must **dress appropriately for all weather conditions**
• Exposure to dust, odors, and wet conditions
• Fast-paced production environment

### Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting
• Ability to lift materials throughout the shift
• **Mandatory overtime is required as scheduled**
